Calling all teens 15½ to 17. Be paid to make a difference! The Brookline Department of Public Health is recruiting teenagers to work as compliance check inspectors. Participants will be paid to conduct tobacco compliance checks in Arlington, Belmont, Brookline, and Watertown, to insure that retailers in the area are following the law by not selling tobacco products to minors.
An information and training session will be held on October 18, 2012, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, at the Watertown Police Department, 552 Main Street, Watertown. Dinner will be provided. In addition to receiving a $25 stipend, paid after the completion of the first compliance check, participants will also be paid $10/hr to conduct the checks.
