Brookline Church Hosting Free Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

The event has been an annual tradition for more than 40 years.

BROOKLINE, MA — The United Parish is opening its doors to those in need this Thanksgiving.

The church is hosting its annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday at the fellowship hall at 15 Marion St. The family-style meal is slated to serve up to 200 people and include typical Thanksgiving offerings such as turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and green beans. The main course will be followed by dessert, which includes pumpkin and apple pie. The food will be prepared and served by volunteers.

The annual gathering became a tradition in 1981. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving with food being served at approximately 1 p.m.
