Brookline Senior Living Space Helping Residents With Technical Difficulties
The center launched a program that aims to help seniors master technology.
BROOKLINE, MA — A senior living facility has launched a new program that aims to help its community become better acclimated with technology.
According to The Newbury, its Tech Concierge program provides members with individualized assistance for smartphones, computers, video chat platforms, televisions, and Wi-Fi systems with the goal of making seniors more independent when it comes to being able to use entertainment and stay connected with loved ones.
The program’s leader Nicholas Snyder has experience in emergency medical services, coding, web development, and K–12 technology education. He said the program also takes pressure off family members who are usually relied on to help their older relatives solve technological problems.
“Many members arrive with devices they’ve used for years, but setting up technology in a new environment can be overwhelming,” Snyder said.
