Credit Card Skimmer Found At Brookline Supermarket: Police
Brookline police said the skimmer was discovered on Tuesday and had been in place since August, according to surveillance video.
BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline shoppers are urged to check credit and bank card statements for accuracy after a skimming device was found at a local supermarket this week.
Police said a manager at the store — which they did not identify — found the device on Tuesday and after a check of surveillance video it is believed the device could have been in place for weeks.
"The subject captured in the video appears to be an actual customer waiting for the clerk to check him out," police said. "He then slips the device out of his pocket and slides it over the terminal.
