Brookline Rotary Club Day of Service

The Brookline Rotary Club is a service organization that promotes volunteerism among its members and supports a variety of non-profits during the year through events such as Pancake Breakfasts and Chocolate Extravaganzas.
This year we are also sponsoring the first annual Brookline Rotary Day of Service on Saturday, October 13. The goal of this initiative is to promote volunteerism throughout the Brookline community and to assist Brookline non-profit andcommunity organizations with special one-day, hands-on projects they might have. This is a day for civic engagement and a chance to do real, visible good forour Brookline community.

These projects can be outdoor or indoor projects. Some examples of outdoor projects include assisting with landscaping tasks (e.g., planting, mowing, raking, cleaning debris and trash) and painting. Examples of indoor tasks include helping with special mailings, painting, shelving, cleaning, organizing equipment, and organizing for a special event.

Volunteer organizations are encouraged to sign up. Then individuals can signup to volunteer. The organizations will assign tasks to individual volunteers. Volunteer organizations in need of volunteer help can sign up now at www.batv.org. Starting on October 1, visit www.batv.org to access the link to the online signup for individual volunteers.
