Family Offers Reward for Missing Boston Grad Student

The family of missing Boston graduate student Jonathan Dailey is offering a $5,000 reward for information on his whereabouts on the day when a second body was found in the Charles River in as many days. 

Police are now comparing dental records of Dailey to the ones on the found body, according to the Boston Herald. 

“This entire experience has been emotionally gut-wrenching, and today’s news only increases this,” Dailey’s sister Robyn Hoffman said in a statement. “We do not currently have any information as to the identity of the body found in the Charles River. We will release another statement as soon as we get full confirmation either way from the Boston Police."

Dailey was last seen a week ago, leaving his apartment in Allston around 9:30 p.m.

The body was found around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning near the BU bridge. It's the second body pulled out of the Charles in as many days in Boston, as there was another victim found floating in the same area on Monday morning. 

Jake Wark, spokesman for the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, said investigators are still trying to positively identify that individual. They were also awaiting autopsy results to pinpoint a cause of death.
