Arrest Made In Decades-Old Cambridge Child Rape Case
The 41-year-old is accused of entering the bedroom of a 13-year-old girl in Cambridge, according to prosecutors
CAMBRIDGE, MA — A 41-year-old Cambridge man has been arrested and charged in connection to the rape of a young girl 23 years ago, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Roger Reddick, Jr., of Cambridge, was arrested Thursday on three counts of rape of a child with force, officials said.
The assault took place early in the morning in October 2000 when a then-unidentified man entered the girl's home in Cambridge, entered her second-floor bedroom and began to attack her. The girl was 13 at the time.

"When she had an opportunity to escape, the victim ran out of her bedroom and screamed for help. The intruder followed her out of the bedroom, then ran past her down a flight of stairs and out of the house," Ryan's office said in a news release.
Investigators tracked Reddick down through a fingerprint he left on a jewelry box in the girl's room. State police were also able to find DNA on a pair of boxer shorts left at the scene of the rape.
