The Awl Takes Down the Times' Cambridge Piece, And It's Pretty Funny

But also, let's all just stop dissecting Cambridge, already.

Last month, The New York Times spent 36 hours in Cambridge, and this week The Awl decided more time was needed.

The Awl rebuttal to the Times' piece was written by the editor, who at least brings an impressive local pedigree to the table: born in Boston, early childhood spent in Watertown, Harvard College attendee.

She posted a line-by-line breakdown of the Times story, gratuitously "ew"-ing a words like frappe and generally bemoaning the Cambridge gentrification and general changes since her college days.

She sums up, "... essentially I would like to register my disappointment with the need for anyone to go to some simulacrum of 'Cambridge' as it is constituted by this (NYT) article."
