5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: July 14

Logan Express ribbon cutting, Go Set a Watchman at bookstores, and dress like a cow and get a free chicken sandwich today.

1. The new Logan Express garage opened in April, but yesterday MassPort held a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony for the $33 million project. The 4-story garage can hold more than 1,025 cars.

2. Harper Lee’s ”Go Set a Watchman” goes on sale today and the Barnes and Noble at Shoppers World in Framingham will open at two hours earlier than usual to allow for purchases of the much-anticipated novel.

3. Today is Cow Appreciation Day, and Chick-fil-A franchises will offer a free sandwich to anyone dressed like a cow. The closest locations are in Westborough and the Burlington Mall. The Framingham location should be open next year in time for the promotion.

4. Governor Charlie Baker announced the appointment of Nonie Lesaux, Ph.D., to the Board of Early Education and Care, and designated her as the new Chair.
