5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: July 7

1. Framingham Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.

On the agenda tonight is a discussion on changing the hours of Town Hall for the summer, goal-setting for the Fiscal Year 2016 for Selectmen, discussion on the Framingham Town Manager’s evaluation, approval of an agreement to create a joint drug task force between Framingham & Natick, and a presentation on a means-tested senior citizen tax exemption.

2. Today marks IHOP’s 57th anniversary in business. To celebrate, IHOP is selling a short stack of pancakes for 57 cents between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. A short stack is three buttermilk pancakes, and there is a limit of one 57 cent short stack order per customer.

3. Looking for a dinner deal?

Kids eat free at Moe’s in Natick, Uno’s in Framingham, and at the Halfway Cafe in Marlboro tonight.

4. It is supposed to be hot and humid today. The town’s trio of public beaches will be open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beach tags are required for use. They can be purchased on site.

5. The Framingham Parks & Recreation co-ed swim team travels to Needham tonight for its second meet of the season. The Frogs will be looking for its first win of the summer. Meet starts at 5:30

BONUS: Plan ahead: The public is invited to the grand opening of the Children’s Grove at Cushing Memorial Park --rain or shine -- Wednesday, July 8, from noon to 2 p.m.
