Autism Alliance of MetroWest Hopes To Reach More Latino Families Thanks to Grant

A new phone line with information and assistance in Spanish is now available at 508-628-6777.

Autism Alliance of MetroWest, a program of Advocates Inc., received a grant from the Foundation for MetroWest’s Fund for Families to hire a bilingual staff member.

According to a press release issued by the Alliance, the organization has worked with more than 150 Spanish-speaking families since it began its outreach into the Latino community two years ago.

With the new phone line and the bilingual staff member, the Framingham-based Alliance hopes to increase help to the Latino community.

Census data indicated more than 1,000 Latino families in MetroWest may be caring for a family member with autism without support.
