Dog Bites Girl at Framingham Farmers' Market

The owner of the dog needs to be identified, so the girl's family can determine if additional medical treatment is needed.

Thursday, a dog bit a girl at the Framingham Farmers’ Market.

“The dog needs to be identified to ensure it has had its vaccinations,” said market manager Jacqueline Meninno.

The girl, about age 10 or 11, was bitten about 3 p.m., said Meninno.

“The girl is okay,” said Meninno. ”her mom took her for medical attention.”

The dog owner is asked to contact Meninno so she can direct the owner to the mother or the child’s pediatrician.

“Initially the mom of the child thought it was just a scrape from the dog but learned later it was an actual bite which required medical attention,” explained Meninno.
