Fire At Fusion Restaurant Was Arson: $5,000 Reward To Help Solve The Case

Fire officials say the early morning fire at Fusion Restaurant in Ashland was arson. Now they want to find who did it.

ASHLAND, MA—Fire officials who investigated are agreeing that the fire that erupted at Fusion Restaurant early Wednesday morning was intentionally set.

State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey, Ashland Fire Chief Scott Boothby and Ashland Police Chief Craig Davis said the fire shortly after 5 a.m. at 12 Pond St. is deemed arson.

State Fire Marshal Ostroskey said in a statement, “Anyone with information about this fire is asked to contact local fire or police or the statewide Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. All calls are confidential.”

The Arson Hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program which provides rewards of up to $5,000 for information that helps to solve the case. The program is sponsored by the property and casualty insurance underwriting companies of Massachusetts.

The fire is being jointly investigated by the Ashland Fire and Police Departments and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
