Haircuts To Benefit Wounded Veteran Stephen Mandile

Knockouts in Framingham will hold a cut-a-thon Sunday, July 12 to help the wounded U.S. Army Sgt.

In 2005, U.S. Army Sgt. Stephen Mandile suffered brain and spinal cord injuries during a Humvee crash in Baghdad, Iraq.

Today, the Uxbridge man still has a hard time walking and is in constant pain.

Sunday, July 12 Knockouts on Route 9 in Framingham will hold a cut-a-thon to raise money for the wounded veteran.

The cut-athon is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.n. at 328 Worcester Road. There will also be food, live music and a Red Sox raffle at the event.

The money raised will help Mandile afford a surgery that will ease his constant pain.

The Veterans Administration denied the $50,000 procedure, which would implant a pain pump in his body.
