More than 60 boys participated in the first-ever Framingham Youth Football clinic on Monday night, on the campus of Framingham State University.

Coaches worked with the players, who ranged from second to eighth grade.

The clinic continues Tuesday night, July 14.

The purpose of the clinic is to help teach strong fundamental football skills while emphasizing safety first.

On Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, Framingham Youth Football & Cheer players can visit Dick’s Sporting Goods in Natick and get 20 percent off their athletic equipment. A coupon is needed to receive the discount.

The season starts Labor Day weekend for the Jr. Flyers.
