Massachusetts Gas Prices 5 Cents Less Than National Average
AAA survey says gas prices are down 3 cents this week.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down three cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham on Route 9.
AAA’s July 13 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.72 per gallon, down three cents from last week. Prices locally are the same as a month ago.
The current price is five cents less than the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.77.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 95 cents higher at $3.67.
“The recent drop in the price of crude oil has translated into savings for consumers at the gas pumps,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast, in a press release. “Along with strong supplies, these lower prices are excellent news for families traveling during the height of the summer drive vacation season.”

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 39 cents, from a low of $2.56 to a high of $2.95. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every trip, every time.
