Service Monday for Ramuel Raagas, 40

A service will be held Monday, July 13 at noon at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Maple Street in Framingham for Ramuel Raagas, who died on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.

Raagas, 40, was struck and killed early Tuesday morning while walking along the Mass Pike in Natick.

Known as “Ram” to his friends and fellow Democrats, Raagas campaigned locally, in MetroWest, and even nationally for candidates.

He was also an active volunteer in Framingham, with both Welcoming Framingham and with the Hoops & Homework program.

On Friday night, July 10 Welcoming Framingham will hold a moment of silence for him at the Framingham Centre Common at their tent at 6 p.m. Those who wish to attend are asked to arrive by 5:55 p.m.

Raagas enjoyed attending the Framingham Friday night summer concerts, said organizer Dhruba Sen.
