'Voices From the Edgell Grove Cemetery': Hosted By The Framingham History Center

Among the "voices": Mary Eames, the first person interred at Edgell Grove.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—As the Framingham History Center announces that this Halloween tradition began at the Old Burying Ground and is now at the "garden cemetery" that was modeled after Mount Auburn in Cambridge.

On Saturday, Oct. 28, the center presents "Voices From the Edgell Grove Cemetery" at the cemetery at 53 Grove St., Framingham, starting at 4 p.m.

Among the "voices": Mary Eames, the first person interred at Edgell Grove; mapmaker—Warren Nixon; General George Gordon and his wife Lizzie; historian, Josiah Temple, and a Revolutionary War soldier who died of smallpox and was reinterred in the soldier’s lot before developers destroyed his original grave behind Framingham’s “pest house." There are other surprise guests.
