5 Things: Dangerously High Ozone Levels, Banjo Performance

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Elizabeth Warren: Today at 1:15 p.m. about her election campaign and the issues that matter most to you. Questions will be accepted during the chat but there might not be time for every question to be asked.

2. Dangerous High Ozone Level: The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has issued an air quality action day for ground level ozone, in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

An air quality action day means that ground level ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. For additional information the recommends a visit to the MassDEP website at http://www.public.dep.state.ma.us/massair or a call to 1-800-882-1497.

3. Go Go Go ‘Till You Hear Banjo: If you’re interested in country music like Racal Flatts then you’ve surely heard your fair share of banjo music. Even if you aren’t interested in the music you might still be interested in the history of the instrument. On Sunday at 4 p.m. musician and historian Robert Lloyd Webb will be performing and presenting Ring The Banjar! at Bullard Farm. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by emailing bmfaprograms@gmail.com
