5 Things: Democratic Party Office, Flag Football

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Flag Football: Today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. the Hopkinton Youth Commission will be hosting their second Hot Summer Nights activity; Flag Football. Last week they had.

2. 4th of July: Posts are going to be a little less newsy this week and a little more topical. We’re trying to ramp up the user interaction on the site to find where Hopkinton and Holliston residents are at after the merger. During the week we’ll be asking for BBQ tips, favorite vacations and party pictures.

3. Social Media: While the two sites are merged on Patch, Hopkinton and Holliston still remain separate on Facebook and Twitter. Like Hopkinton Patch and Holliston Patch on Facebook, follow @HollistonPatch and @HopkintonPatch on Twitter.
