5 Things: Join Cub Scouts, Nominate a Greatest Person
Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. D.E.A.R. Reading Day: Today from 2 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. it's time to “Dive into a Good Book” at . Students are encouraged to bring a towel and sunglasses because some classes may choose to read outside. As a reminder to parents students will not be dismissed during D.E.A.R. reading time. Please plan accordingly.
2. Join Hopkinton Cub Scouts: , and varied openings in each Pack for boys entering Second through Fifth Grades. You will have an opportunity to speak with leadership from each Pack, to learn about Scouting, when and where the different Packs meet, and for boys entering grades 2-5, which Pack has openings for your son(s) to join. Stop by at 6:30 p.m. for all of the information.
3. The State of Hopkinton Buildings: Tonight the will be meeting jointly with the to discuss the town buildings report. This will include a rundown of which buildings are in the most need of repair as well as a discussion of the elementary school buildings. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the .

4. Greatest Person: At Patch I like sharing the news, but I really want to share your stories!
