5 Things: Yoga, Kayaking and Some Selectmen Notes

1. Water and Sewer Rates: Tonight the will discuss many things, including whether or not to increase the Water and Sewer rates. A decrease in use by residents has caused a drop in the department’s retained earnings.

2. Elm Street Closure: The Contractor will resume construction activities on Elm Street today. The work necessary to complete the project includes adjusting structures on the road, paving the top course of pavement, and painting the street lines.  The work is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting. The road will likely be closed during the construction activities so please plan accordingly by seeking alternate routes and leaving extra time for your commute.

3. Events and Announcements: Did you know that anyone can add events and announcements on Hopkinton Patch? It’s easy to do! Whether it’s a neighborhood block party, a yard sale of a wedding announcement you can get it out there. Some highlights are pulled in to help create 5 Things every day.

5. Go Kayaking: at is now open seven days a week. Monday-Friday their hours are noon to 7 p.m., on weekends they open at 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
