CrossFit Performance Training Coming to Hopkinton This Fall
Drew Carnase will be opening the Reebok sponsored fitness gym on South Street to give adults an opportunity to feel like athletes again.

It’s been a long day of work in Hopkinton and you’re looking for somewhere to get a quick workout in during your lunch or after work. The only problem is that the closest gym is in Milford and that’s totally out of the way. Fret no more gym rats, CrossFit Resilience is coming to town.
Drew Carnase was feeling the same squeeze after he left the insurance industry several years ago. He wanted to keep going and start a business, but he didn’t want to do just anything.
“I knew that the next thing I was going to do needed to be something that I loved,” he said. “When I started doing CrossFit about 9 months ago I knew this was the business I wanted to be in.”

Carnase said the reason people connect with CrossFit is because it hits the inner desire that everyone has to be the best.
“Everyone has a competitive side to them, and this system really harnesses that, at the end of class everyone posts their scores," Carnase said. "Not only do they get to track their own progress, they get to see how they stack up to everyone else.”

The other thing that CrossFit does differently is gear its workouts toward adults.
“Most performance training facilities are geared toward high school and college athletes. The point of CrossFit is to help adults think of themselves as athletes too.”
CrossFit Resilience is going to be located at 25 South St. in Hopkinton. Carnase said they will be able to move in to the location on July 1 and hope to be open to the public at the end of the summer.
