Elm Street Construction, Why Isn't It Done?
This week a question about the Elm Street repair work was sent to Patch via Twitter.

We've been posting notices for a week or so now about the Elm Street closure so the roadwork that was started last summer could be completed, but that still left some questions from community members.Â
@Jsward12 reached out to Hopkinton Patch on twitter (@HopkintonPatch) and asked "How long will the Elm Street construction be going on? Was the town not happy with the work done last year?"
In a response from Highway Department Manager Mike Manser, he said it will be completed today.

"A new sewer line was installed last year so they wanted to be sure no settling occurred within the trench before putting the top course down. It is best to let trenches do whatever settling they are going to do over the winter freeze/thaw cycling before placing the top riding course of asphalt."
