Holliston, Hopkinton Among Top 10 Tax Bills in Area

If your tax bill seemed too hefty this year that's because it was. Holliston and Hopkinton residents pay significantly more than residents of other area towns.

According to a spreadsheet published by the state Division of Local Services, Holliston is ranked 9th and Hopkinton is ranked 6th out of 37 towns within a 15-mile radius, in order of most-expensive to least-expensive.

The average tax bill for the 37 towns surrounding Milford (the center of the study) was $5,962.
