Holliston Police Log: Assault on a Police Officer

Monday, July 16

12:48 a.m.: A caller from Norland Street reported a group of loud teenagers in the area. Officers checked the area and reported that it was quiet.

10:24 a.m.: A caller from Kuniholm Drive reported illegal dumping.

11:43 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Central street and issued them two citations; one for operating while distracted and another for possession of a class D substance.

7:33 p.m.: A caller reported two males in a gray BMW destroying lawn sprinklers on Hopping Brook Road. An officer responded and reported that no damage had been done to the sprinklers.

8:16 p.m.: A caller from Kathryn Lane requested extra checks after reporting that vehicles had been traveling through the neighborhood at a high rate of speed.

Tuesday, July 17

6:16 a.m.: A person stopped in to the to drop off a cell phone that was found on Marked Tree Road.

7:50 a.m.: The reported a minor car crash at the intersection of Washington and baker Streets. The vehicles involved were gone when police arrived.

2:13 p.m.: A motor vehicle hit a telephone pole on Highland Street. The airbags in the car were deployed and the operator was taken to MetroWest Regional Hospital in Framingham for an evaluation.

7:15 p.m.: A caller reported a possibly intoxicated female in the area of the cemetery on Central Street. Officers checked the surrounding areas and found the woman in a taxi in the area.

9:53 p.m.: A caller reported that an intoxicated female at her residence causing a disturbance. Karen Read, 36, of 51 Maple Dell Ln., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

11:16 p.m.: A loud part was reported on Willowgate Rise. The homeowner was advised to quiet down
