Hopkinton Police Log: Car Crashes on East and West Main Street, Missing Cat

Monday, July 23, 2012

9:00 a.m.: A caller from East Main Street reported a truck that appeared to be on fire. When the and the truck was gone.

9:20 p.m.: A person informed police officers that there was a group of suspicious males on the . Officers responded and the girlfriend of one of the males drove them home.

Tuesday, July 24

2:20 p.m.: Officers assisted the Fire Department with a vehicle leaking fuel in a parking lot on South Street.

3:45 p.m.: A caller reported that she hit her head pretty hard in a car crash on West Main Street. The caller was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

4:06 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a car crash on East Main Street. One report said the operator and a small child got in to another vehicle and leaving the scene. The operator had been trying to get to a phone to call the officer. At the time of the accident it appeared as if the vehicle belonged to an owner who had their license revoked, but officers went to the residence to check the paperwork.

6:40 p.m.: Officers checked a report of a couple of people trying to get in to a video on Cedar Street. An officer responded and let the people back in to the vehicle they were locked out of.

8:22 p.m.: Officers assisted in the search for a child from Kruger Road that had not returned to her residence.

8:26 p.m.: A caller from Partridge Road was cat sitting for her son when the short haired grey cat pushed the screen out of a window and escaped.

11:45 p.m.: A 911 caller from West Main Street said her mother was assaulted by her soon-to-be ex-husband. Officers checked the residence but were unable to locate the couple. They informed the Franklin Police Department about the incident after being informed of a residence in that town.
