Police Log: Confiscated BB Gun, Bus Driver Altercation

Thursday, May 31
1:39 a.m.: An officer from the spoke with two people on Main Street.
8:37 a.m.: A caller reported that his employee in a trash truck hit a wire on Main Street and knocked it down. The driver was still in the truck with the wire resting on top until police officers were able to confirm that it was a cable wire and not an electric wire.

10:53 a.m.: A caller from Appaloosa Circle reported that his mailbox was damaged and knocked over. By the time the call was made the mailbox had already been repaired.
11:31 a.m.: A caller reported that a tractor-trailer had turned the wrong way on to Walcott St to make a delivery to a business. An officer located the truck and issued a ticket for a traffic violation.

12:53 p.m.: A caller reported that her vehicle was backed in to in a parking lot on Grove Street. An officer responded to view the damage and document the crash.
2:12 p.m.: A caller from the bus office reported that an operator on Briarcliff Drive would not move their car to allow a bus to pass. An officer responded and helped resolve the situation.
3:56 p.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported that there were several youths with BB guns in his backyard shooting at birds. An officer spoke to the three youths and confiscated heir BB gun.
5:15 p.m.: A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle on East Main Street.
5:34 p.m.: A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street.
5:37 p.m.: Several callers reported a crash on South Street. The vehicle was towed.
7:10 p.m.: A caller from Downey Street reported that heavy equipment was violating the town’s bylaws. An officer responded and had the work shut down for the night.
10:22 p.m.: Westborough Police reported a crash on Wood Street.
10:34 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a crash on Oakhurst Road.
11:03 p.m.: A caller from Lakeshore Drive reported loud kids.
