Police Log: Heat Distressed Dog

Thursday, June 21
3:45 p.m.: A caller reported that a dog had been barking inside a house all day on Walcott Street. The caller said they believed it was because of the high temperatures. was contacted to deal with the issue.
4:54 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle tailgating and acting aggressively on East Main Street. The vehicle crossed in to Ashland before officers from the could respond, but Ashland PD was notified.

6:52 p.m.: A caller reported that his wife’s car had broken down on South Street at a bad intersection. An officer responded and stood by until AAA arrived.
11:18 p.m.: A caller reported that a branch had fallen in to the roadway and was causing a traffic problem. By the time an officer arrived it had been moved.
