Police Log: Night Swimming at Stoddard Park

Friday, June 22

11:10 a.m.: Officers responded to a car crash at the intersection of Pinecrest Road and Prentice Street.

4:41 p.m.: A resident walked in to the to report a lost wallet containing license, debit card and cash. The wallet is a red / brown color with stitching on the outside.

11:08 p.m.: A caller from Briarcliff Lane reported a loud part in the area. The homeowner where the party was being held agreed to quiet down.

Saturday, June 23

8:10 a.m.: A worker removed a large branch from the street on Dodd Road.

2:31 p.m.: A caller from Cedar Street reported that a gray Honda had been sitting near his house, the operator had been staring out the window for 20 minutes. While the caller was on the phone the suspicious vehicle drove off.

4:00 p.m.: A caller from a business on Washington Street reported that when a person placed a pick-up order over the phone they said they were intoxicated.

9:15 p.m.: An officer issued a ticket for a drug violation after a vehicle check on Adams Street.

11:06 p.m.: Several youths were removed from a soccer field on Marshall Street.

Sunday, June 24

2:43 a.m.: An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle at . The officer found five people swimming in the lake and advised them that they had to leave because the park was closed.

6:05 a.m.: The Highway Department was notified of a tree down on Adams Street.

6:07 a.m.: A criminal application was issued to the registered owner of a vehicle that was stopped on Washington Street. The charges included operating without a license and operating without insurance.

1:41 p.m.: A 911 caller reported domestic violence in progress on Hanlon Road. Officers responded.

2:48 p.m.: A caller reported youths throwing rocks in to traffic on Exchange Street.

9:17 p.m.: A caller reported a single-car crash at the intersection of Prentice Street and Mill Street. The vehicle left the scene. The caller didn’t have a thorough description but said it might have been a station wagon.
