Police Search Area Near Front Street for Burglar

Officers from the Hopkinton and Ashland Police Departments are searching for the perpetrator of a breaking end entering.

Just before 3 p.m. this afternoon the received a call from a homeowner on Front Street who reported that he came home to find his front door kicked in.

According to scanner reports the man saw his tv and other belongings laid out on a sheet in his front yard. 

The incident occurred at 13 Front St., and according to scanner reports the individual fled out the back of the house in to the woods.

Officers from the Ashland Police Department responded with their K9 unit with a short amount of time.

Officers from the Massachusetts State Police also helped with the search that covered a large land area between Front Street and Clinton Street, extending in to Ashland.

As of 5 p.m. on Friday no one had been found in the woods in the search had been called off after k9 units lost the trail in the woods.
