Residents of the Front Street area near the center of town are advised to look out for discolored water today. Early this afternoon a water main on Front Street broke during construction in the area. The Water Department had to shut off service to residents from Ash Street to Hopkins Road in order to get the main fixed. Water discoloration may affect residents of the town that live on Hayden Rowe and anywhere to the east, including the downtown area. Water Department Director Eric Carty advised residents to keep an eye out for discolored water, and if you notice it to run your water for several minutes to flush the water out of the system.
