Malden Coronavirus Cases Rise, More Residents Being Monitored
The number of coronavirus cases across Malden has surpassed 80.
MALDEN, MA — The number of coronavirus cases in Malden surpassed 80 Thursday, according to the latest numbers from Public Health Director Chris Webb. As of April 2, there are 83 tested and confirmed cases of the coronavirus. The city previously reported 75 cases on Wednesday.
Additionally, there are 85 residents under quarantine because they had contact with someone who tested positive, Webb said. Health officials are currently monitoring 168 residents; that number went up from 160 on Wednesday.
The number of cases across Massachusetts rose to 8,966 on Thursday, including 156 deaths. An additional 4,870 people have been tested for a total of 56,608 tests.
