Malden Coronavirus Update: City Sees 2 Deaths
Here is the latest on the coronavirus in Malden.
MALDEN, MA — Two Malden residents have died from the coronavirus, Mayor Gary Christenson announced Friday.
"This is difficult news for our City as we face the reality of this serious health crisis. Our hearts go out to the families of these residents and to everyone who is being impacted by this virus," Christenson said in a statement. "This is a reminder that we have to be diligent in doing our part to help prevent the spread of the virus by practicing social distancing and making sure to wear a mask in public."
As of Saturday, April 11, there were 285 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Malden, according to the latest numbers from the city. These residents are in isolation and are being monitored by local health officials.
