Malden Needs To Fill New Disability Commission Seats
The mayor is seeking residents to fill two of four newly created seats on the Malden Disability Commission.
MALDEN, MA — Mayor Gary Christenson is seeking residents to fill two of four newly created seats on the Malden Disability Commission. The Commission consists of volunteers seeking to eliminate discrimination against persons of differing abilities.
The Commission provides information, education, referral, guidance and technical assistance to public and private agencies, individuals, organizations and institutions to ensure everyone has equal access to facilities, services and programs.
New members must be either an individual with a disability or have a family member with a disability. Meetings occur on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. At this time meetings are held virtually via Zoom.

The deadline for accepting applications is Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m.
