Malden Police: Fatal Hit and Run Still an Active Investigation

MALDEN, MA - The fatal hit and run that occurred on Sunday night on Pleasant Street is still under investigation.

Authorities said on Tuesday morning that it is still an active investigation, and no arrests had been made as of early Tuesday.

The woman who was run down by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night has died of her injuries, according to police. and The vehicle involved was located on Monday morning, police said.

The victim has been identified as Yaai Chen, 71, of Malden, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

Residents who live nearby said Pleasant Street is a busy and dangerous area, according to 7News/whdh.com.
