The idea for the brick oven pizzeria began with a late-night conversation between longtime friends.

The idea for the brick oven pizzeria began with a late-night conversation between longtime friends Scott Sillari, who attended the New England Culinary Institute and his partner Mike Dulock, a release said. They loved the idea of operating a traditional style pizza shop and serving the city neighborhood, a release said. The owners have invested nearly $150,000 in the business and at full capacity hope to create five full-time positions, a release said. The owners have already begun to scour the farmers markets for fresh, in-season local ingredients and will plan weekly specials for the shop, a release said. Mayor Christenson sampled a “farmer’s market” pizza and declared it delectable, a release said.

The shop is open Thursday through Monday 4-10 PM. For more information, visit www.sillarispizza.com or call 781-605-1445.
