MALDEN, MA - 2015 started with historic blizzards, and is ending with unseasonably warm temperatures in December.

In between, a lot of things happened in the city in 2015. Here are some of the top trending stories on Malden Patch in 2015.

The year got off to a great start for a man’s quick stop at a convenience store to make change for his lunch turned into a life-changing surprise.

Another talker was when a school janitor accused of indecent exposure to children was just using the bathroom. A 27-year-old man was shot in when bullets entered a house.

Though this story happened in neighboring Wakefield, it was a huge story. A Malden woman was killed by her estranged husband In murder/suicide. In June, a mystery man helped an elderly woman escape a house fire.

This summer, a Malden car wash employee was struck and killed at work.

In October, the former owner of Malden Chiropractic Practice pleads guilty to federal tax fraud. The man who was barred from working as a chiropractor, used the names and tax identification numbers of licensed chiropractors working at Future Health for billing purposes, causing the insurance company payors to report the payments to the IRS as income to the guilty man’s subcontractors.

A Malden man was found guilty of first degree murder in November. The jury also found the defendant guilty of armed robbery, armed assault in a dwelling and illegal possession of a firearm. Also in November, a body that washed up in Plymouth was found to be that of a missing Malden teen.

On a lighter note, a Malden man’s wicked funny video went viral, and landed him on a national television show.
