A community forum on preventing Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses will be held Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at The Center in Medfield. The goal is to educate community members on how to protect your family and pets from tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme disease. Hosted by the Medfield Lyme Disease Study Committee, the forum will feature three speakers: Lester Hartman, MD from Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics; Jessica Young, DVM from Medfield Veterinary Clinic; and Jean Sniffin, RN, Medfield's Board of Health public health nurse. Information on personal, pet and property protection as well as local tick-borne illnesses will be discussed.
