3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out In 'Hoarder-Like' Medford Apartment

The blaze started in an unoccupied apartment in "hoarder-like" condition, making it difficult to navigate, the fire department said.

MEDFORD, MA — Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire early Saturday in Medford.

The fire began in an unoccupied apartment on Newbern Avenue. The apartment was in "hoarder-like" condition, making it difficult to navigate, the fire department said.

Crews brought flames in the windows and roof under control. Two firefighters were taken to the hospital for evaluation, the department said.
