Advisory: Roads Into Medford Square Closed Sunday Morning
The Freedom 5K Road Race will interrupt traffic for a few hours.

The following statement was issued by the City of Medford:
“This Sunday, April 12th, from approximately 10AM until noon, vehicle traffic in and around Medford Square will be restricted due to the Freedom 5K Road Race, sponsored by the Medford Chamber of Commerce.
“Please anticipate that all of the roads that lead into Medford Square will be shut down while the race is underway. We will open roads to vehicle traffic as soon as reasonably possible. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

“Race route:
“The course will proceed down “Freedom Way,” take a left onto Riverside Avenue, a right into George P. Hassett drive, then a left onto Salem Street into historic Medford Square. In the Square you will take a right onto Forest Street, a left onto Lawrence Road, a left onto Governors Avenue, a left onto High Street. You will proceed down High Street directly through Medford Square, back down Riverside Avenue with a right back onto “Freedom Way,” finishing at the McGlynn Middle School.

“There will also be a Health and Wellness Expo at the McGlynn Middle School from 8AM to noon with over 25 vendors and activities for the entire family. All are invited to attend.”
