: MELROSE—A day after a bomb threat led to an evacuation of Melrose High School, another threat on Friday morning led to another search of the school—although no evacuation—and again, nothing was found. Both threats were found written on the wall of boys bathrooms inside the school and are under investigation.
WOBURN -- After being found guilty of assault and battery, but not guilty of involuntary manslaughter, Mark Kerrigan -- brother of Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan -- was sentenced by a judge to 2 1/2 years in prison.

Eastern Ave. Explosion Knocks Man Through the Air: MALDEN—A fluke accident led to a small engine explosion and fire on Eastern Avenue Monday around 8:15 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Jack Colangeli. One man suffered minor injuries as a result of the blast.
Roberto Velasquez-Johnson, also known as George Diamond, allegedly conspired with Safwan Madarati, of Watertown, who was , along with eight other men. He lives in Arlington, according to Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau.
