Boston Ave. Building Seeks Addition; School's Out

Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:
Board of Appeals To Consider Building Expansion: The city's board of appeals will consider a request to build a 4-story addition to an industrial building at 200 Boston Ave., according to a meeting agenda.
It would add nearly 30,000 square feet to the building, which is currently about 150,000 square feet. It is owned by Simmons Properties, LLC and assessed at $12.6 million, according to property records. The meeting takes place at City Hall tonight at 7 p.m.

: John Marckini, the brother of a man arrested last week in connection to an alleged screwdriver attack, now faces the same charges as his kin, according to the police log.

School's Out for Summer: Summer may have technically started last week, but for many families it really starts today. Medford Public Schools are out for the Summer. Classes resume Sept. 7.
Mostly Sunny, Maybe Rain Tonight: Highs will top out in the low-80s today, with a 60 percent chance of rain tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Similar temperatures are expected tomorrow with a 60 percent chance of rain.
