Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

I have been managing medical practices for over 15 years and my focus is on patient satisfaction and communication, both between staff and between staff/physicians and patients. As a parent of a first grader, I can understand the perspective of parents bringing their children to the doctor’s office and the daily stress involved in a working parent’s life, as well as their concerns for their children.

In a nutshell, describe your business.

We are a pediatrics practice, seeing newborns through age twenty-one. We have seven physicians, most who have been practicing here for years. Many of our staff members have worked here for years themselves, and there is a family feel to the practice. It is not uncommon to hear patients who have brought all their children here and now their grandchildren are patients. Our priority is taking care of our patients and their families.

What is your favorite part about what you do?

Aside from the interactions with my coworkers and the patients, I love the educational aspect of my job. Our practice is part of the Pediatric Physicians Organization at Children’s Hospital, which offers workshops on how to improve our practice and better serve our patients, how to use technology and newer forms of communication to make their visits easier.

What's the most important thing you'd like your customers to know about your business?

Our physicians and staff genuinely care about taking care of children and making them well. I think the fact that we are affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital is important as well.
