Caribbean Takeout Spot Launches In Medford
The restaurant offers Haitian and other Caribbean-inspired meals.
MEDFORD, MA — A new restaurant has launched in a busy Medford neighborhood after months of anticipation.
The ribbon was cut on Caribbean Hut late last month at its location on 466B Salem St. The takeout spot has taken the place of the fitness and supplement store Flex Appeal.
Owners Dante and Phaimyr Maxi also own Grêp Kafé and Sweets Bakery, which is located directly adjacent to their newest business.
Caribbean Hut’s menu includes items native to Haiti and the Caribbean such as jerk chicken, goat curry, griot pork, and diri ak djon djon, which is an earthy black mushroom rice. The business is open every day at 11 a.m. with the exception of Mondays.
