Fire at DPW Yard Caused About 10k in Damage
A fire at the DPW yard in Medford caused about $10,000 in damage, according to a fire report.

A fire in an office at the Public Works yard in Medford earlier this month caused about $10,000 in damages, according to a report from the fire department.
The May 16 fire started in a small office at the yard and spread to one of the walls. Public works crew men used a fire extinguisher to help contain it before the fire department arrived and ran a hose to the office, Deputy fire Chief Patrick Ripley said at the scene. The fire started at about 12:30 p.m. and was put out quickly.
The yard, located at 21 James St., is less than a quarter-mile from the Fire Department.

The incident report estimates $5,000 in damages to property and $5,000 in damages to contents. No one was hurt in the fire.
