Mayor Honors Medford 4th Grader Who Raised $1K+ For Homeless Vets

Gianna Puccio was given a mayoral citation for raising money for homeless veterans by selling hand sanitizer.

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford fourth grader was recently honored by the mayor for her efforts in raising money for homeless veterans.

Gianna Puccio raised $1,050 for the Medford Office of Veterans Affairs by selling hand sanitizer. She is also planning future donation drives for other Medford residents in need.

"Gianna, you are an inspiration and remind us that thoughtfulness and generosity go a long way," Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said.
