Medford 2023 Election: Breanna Lungo-Koehn Reelected As Mayor

MEDFORD, MA — Breanna Lungo-Koehn has been reelected to a third two-year term as Medford mayor, according to the unofficial results of Tuesday's Municipal Election.

Lungo-Koehn received 7,339 votes, defeating Rick Caraviello, who received 5,661 votes.

Previously elected in 2019 and 2021, Lungo-Koehn spent 18 years as a Medford city councilor prior to becoming mayor.

After learning of the results, Lungo-Koehn thanked the Medford voters in a Facebook post.

"Thank you, Medford! I am proud of the work we have done to deliver for Medford over the past few years and we are confident the results reflect that work," Lungo-Koehn wrote. "I'm honored to continue serving my community for another term and remain ready to do that work."

According to Medford officials, A total of 13,247 votes were cast, which is 31.65 percent of the 41,855 registered voters.
