Medford Carpentry Students Win Contest
Contest recognized excellence in recycling through creative carpentry.

The following was provided by Medford Public Schools:
For the second straight year, Medford Vocation School teacher Joe Grinley and his students have won a contest recognizing excellence in recycling through creative carpentry.
The students transformed old, damaged furniture made out of particle board into something new and different. Students designed, constructed, and painted a dining room set and baker’s rack that were recognized as the “Most unique and creative product produced.”

Last year, the school used the $1,000 prize to purchase a new sander.
Carpentry students involved included: Brendan Baker, Christopher Contardo, Colin Dobson, Jerell Fick-Souza, Michael Kelley, Jordan Machado, and Joseph Marckini and HVAC student Jacquelyn Smock.
