Medford Christmas Tree Collection Begins Soon

MEDFORD, MA — Medford residents needing to get rid of their 2022 Christmas trees will have the option to do so next week through annual Christmas tree collection services.

Trees will be collected on regular waste pickup days during the week of Jan. 9, officials announced last month. Trees should be placed for pickup without any decorations or lights.

Officials have also released the full trash and recycling collection schedule for Medford in 2023.

The first bagged leaf collections of the year will run in the week of April 24, with the last leaf collections scheduled to take place in the week of Nov. 27.

Though there is no delay in collections due to New Year’s Day this week, there will be nine holidays prompting a delay in 2023.
